It’s nearly the end of another year! 2021 has certainly been interesting, so here’s a quick review. And what is there to look forward to in 2022?
In 2020, COVID-19 took over and we had to start wearing masks, keeping our distance, and avoiding travel as much as possible. Now, despite vaccine rollout around the world, it seems like 2021 has confirmed this “new normal”, as new variants have established themselves and we’ve had to continue with these habits indefinitely. We have to be patient, but let’s also be optimistic: human beings are nothing if not innovative and the world’s best medical minds are working on a long-term solution. So just like them, hang on and don’t give up.
I’m in the fortunate position that my work can be done almost entirely online, and I’ve been very busy throughout the year as my clients have started many new projects and asked me to help. That’s why this is my first blog update since February. I now offer a programme in online presentation skills, which ran as a pilot earlier this year and is undergoing revision for 2022. I’ve written a lot of articles, press releases and case studies on interesting topics such as trade in Africa and Asia, giant cranes and ships, and how to make industrial equipment produce less noise and last longer. There are too many to provide links to here, but please ask if you’re interested and I can send you some samples.
I’ve learned a lot about the latest product development, including incredible efficiency advancements in diesel engines, promising fuel sources like hydrogen, and better battery technology, all moving us gradually towards a fossil-free future. Every client that I work with is involved in some way with mitigating climate change by reducing carbon emissions in the manufacture, delivery and use of their products. It’s truly inspiring to see this level of commitment to the environment across industries.
Next year, I will serve my clients as per normal with copywriting, editing and proofreading services. All of my services will remain online until further notice.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of my clients and business partners in 2021. I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a happy and prosperous New Year!
Koala Consulting and Training will not be operating from 23 December, 2021 until 2 January, 2022. Back in business on 3 January.
See you next year!
